In 1998, I picked up a little side job. "Basic Photographic Materials and Processes" is a required textbook in the RIT School of Photography. Also known by students as, "M&P". My former professors, Dick Zakia and Les Strobel, approached me at an alumni event during the Photo Expo, in NYC. Both are co-authors of the M&P book, and they asked if I'd be interested in writing the new Digital Chapter for the book.
Of course, I was honored to be asked, and agreed to do it. Writing the chapter and doing all the photos and illustrations was quite a challenge. Because digital photography was ever changing, the chapter has had to be re-written several times since. It was still nice to be able to add a co-author credit to my resume.
